Cool. The weekends just got a whole lot better.
This is pretty good stuff, not quite as streamlined as Arvil Bren, reads more like a rough draft in places. Perhaps it would be better if you wrote the entries in advance each week and streamed them together more cohesively. By this I mean places such as the latest entry where you say "that's a tale for another time" and then proceed to tell it. Having so many entries to cover a single incident like the exploring of the ruin or the escape from the prisons also seemed to take me out of the story. Had he actually taken a few days for each, it would have worked better, but I understand the difficulties of trying to write long entries on a regular basis. Of course, the disparate nature of the journal entries does lend in a way to realism in the writing, so it can be positive to an extent.
All that said, the pacing and character development is quite good. It's almost as rounded as Arvil and not too "fast-paced" as I find Frost to be much of the time. Your gradual revelation of the character's history, provided that you know where you are going with it, is very impressive.
So all that to say that I will be checking back here and I hope to find more of your work. Thanks for writing.
Thanks xikorolkel, i like critcism.
I am trying to accomplish a kind of chaos to his entries. His mind... welll, lets just say that there are repercussions to being the anchor of an oblivion gate for five days.
